ARTIST BIO: MUSICAL HISTORY OF FID Q..

 
Farid Kubanda was born on 13 August 1982, at Bugando hospital in Mwanza, Tanzania, he is a hip hop artist  from Tanzania. He is well-known for his artistic name "Fid Q".
Fid Q started musical performances in the 1990s. Fid Q released his first single in 2000, entitled 'Huyu  na yule', with true collaboration of  Mr Paul, among of Rnb legend in Tanzania. This track gave him great honor, hence it was recorded in the MJ Records studio under Master Jay's  management.
His second song was so-called 'Binti malikia' a swhili word that mean "Lady queen"   which shared with Noorelly in chorus. By 2004 Fid Q broke his silence on his notable classic hit named "Fid Q.com", produced at  Baucha record after he shifted from MJ Records.
The song returned the Tanzanian hip-hop to its actual map as it is said that this was noted  as the transitional period where most of  rappers were transforming from rap to singing because there was speculation that hip hop was unacceptable to the most of people in Tanzania. .Fid Q is said to be among the artists who honored the hip hop in Tanzania and East Africa with his classic hit known as Mwanza mwanza, the name of his mother land (Mwanza region in Tanzania) that did well in which there is a unique writing that has gone different from what you have ever heard.

By January 26th, 2008, Fid Q dropped  another hit named "Ni hayo tu" a swhili word mean "Only that" which he shared with Mr. Joseph Haule a.k.a Professor J, who is now a member of the Tanzanian parliament, along with Late Langa (RIP) who was the member of the WAKILISHA crew. The hit was awarded a Kill music award as an excellent hip hop music song for the year 2007/2008.
Fid Q has three albums in Tanzania music market. The first album is called "Vina kati, mwanzo na mwisho". At the end of 2009 he gave the second album "PROPAGANDA", which was well received in Tanzania and other East African countries. Hip Hop fans consider PROPAGANDA as the best album of all time. His third album goes with the name "KITAAOLOJIA" in the view of street psychology.
